Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains what personal information Manage Tutor collects, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses the Manage Tutor website.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, mobile number, email address, password (stored encrypted) and, if you sign in with Google, your Google name, email and photo.
• Tutor profile: photo, gender, date of birth, education history and results, experience, subjects, classes, areas, availability, expected salary and the “about me” text.
• Verification documents: NID (both sides), birth certificate or passport, and university or college ID.
• Tuition posts: student class, medium, subjects, school, location, schedule and salary, provided by guardians.
• Activity: applications, shortlists, hires, reviews, saved jobs, support tickets and messages to our team.
• Payments: amount, plan, transaction ID and status. Card and mobile wallet details are handled by our payment partners and are not stored by us.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, device and cookies needed to keep you signed in and the site secure.

2. How we use it

• To run the service: publish tuition posts and tutor profiles, and connect guardians with tutors.
• To review posts and verify tutors, and to keep the platform safe from fraud and misuse.
• To send SMS and email about your account, new jobs, applications, hires and payments.
• To answer support requests and resolve disputes.
• To improve Manage Tutor and understand how it is used.

3. What other people can see

• Public tutor profiles show name, photo, education, teaching details, verification status and reviews. Visitors who are not signed in see a shortened name.
• Public tuition posts show the class, subjects, area and salary, but never the guardian’s phone number or full address.
• Phone numbers and addresses are shared only between a guardian and the tutor they shortlist or hire.
• Verification documents are never shown publicly; only our verification team can see them.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Manage Tutor (hosting, SMS delivery, email, payment processing such as bKash and SSLCommerz, and Google sign-in), under their own privacy terms; and with the authorities when the law requires it or to protect someone’s safety.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or anonymise your profile, posts and documents, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.

6. Security

Passwords are stored encrypted, documents are kept in a private area of our server, and only authorised team members can access personal data, according to their role.

7. Children

Accounts are for adults (18+). Information about a student is provided by their parent or guardian, who agrees to us using it to find a tutor.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms, and may use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but signing in will not work without them.

9. Your choices and rights

• View and edit your profile at any time from your dashboard.
• Turn SMS and email notifications on or off in your settings.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
